  1. Archerr, thanks for reading my email about my involvement with Senator Kennedy on your show.

Also, on your show you talked about Bruce Springstein being 60 this year. I am now 62 and I grew up in Dallas.

The Kennedy family has been part of my life. The 1960 presidental election was the first election that I was interested in. I of course was for JFK. That was the year I turned 13 so of course I could not vote.

When JFK was assasinated in Dallas in 1963, I was a junior in high school and was in downtown Dallas when it happened. The Dallas policeman that was killed son went to my high school. Also my uncle saw Lee Harvey Oswald when they brought him out of the Texas Theater.

Oh Teddy was good looking back in the day. I will miss the Kennedy family.

I will be in the chat room tonight to listen to your show.

  2. Oh Dave, give it a rest: For all his faults, Teddy Kennedy had more class than all the Republicans in Congress combined. He was unique in that he could work with both sides of the aisle to advance his agenda, and he never compromised that agenda. Back when I was a Republican like Dave, I was less enthusiastic about Teddy. Now, however, I see that there’s not a single Republican who’s worthy of pausing in Teddy’s shaddow (and, just quietly, none of the Democrats can, either).
