My partner purchased a 2010 Fusion hybrid a few weeks ago, and it is a lot of fun to drive. I had it for a week while he was travelling, and it is a techie’s dream. I wouldn’t even test drive the Prius if I was in the market. It may not best the Toyota’s mileage, but it’s much quicker and, from what I’ve read, a better everyday driver. If you get one loaded, it comes with the Synch system (which I had no trouble with), backup camera, Sirius plus real time weather and traffic, CD changer, navigation, changeable interior lighting, plus all of the hybrid charts and graphics. And no, I’m not a Ford salesman!
When I was in Germany for a sales meeting a coworker of mine had purchased a small suitcase at the airport to pack some extra things he purchased. He packed it all up and processed through the airport and had no problems at all. We arrived in Detroit for his final flight back to Ohio and security told him they had to review what was in the bag. He was told that they had to take everything which amounted to $300 worth of stuff. He had won a fleece jacket for reaching a sales goal and they took that too and the jacket was made in the US! He was not a happy camper!
