Fun show! But I have a question- doesn’t anyone there watch scripted TV? I don’t watch a single reality show, and I feel so alone….lol.
Most religious traditions actually started for other reasons like health. Jews and Arabs don’t eat pork because it was not a meat that could be stored and caused illness and became a dirty meat. Circumcision was performed because of the disease and problems early on. Today it is not as important because men can stay clean and we take better care. Personally I do not like uncircumcised – I think they are kind of disgusting. The World Health Organization (WHO; 2007), the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS; 2007), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC; 2008) state that evidence indicates male circumcision significantly reduces the risk of HIV acquisition by men during penile-vaginal sex. In Africa they are working to circumcise adult males furiously.
