Archerr thought he was going to fart….but followed through!
Uh—I just wanted to clarify my opinion about the march this past weekend. I felt badly that I once again did not get myself organized to go down to the march, and anyway, we had already made plans to spend the weekend with your Dad. (He had just injured himself and we were rightly concerned.)
Marches do work and they send powerful messages. From the civil rights movement to the gay rights movement, the protest has been a vital tool to demand action—and we’ve seen the results. Minorities, women, and gays have made tremendous strides in this country because they took their causes to the streets. I participated in my share of marches in the 90s, and I’d like to thank our gay brothers and sisters for attending this past weekend’s march. Next time, I hope to join you!
